Charles H. Aust, Jr., M.D.  is from Fort Wayne and is an Elmhurst High School graduate.  He obtained a B.A. in biological sciences with Phi Beta Kappa honors at Indiana University, Bloomington. He was graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Aust completed a pathology residency at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in 1982 and a pathology fellowship at M D Anderson Hospital in 1983.  He joined Indiana Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Inc. in 1984, serving as a staff pathologist at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, until 1990, when he joined Indiana Pathology Consultants in Fort Wayne.

Dr. Aust is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology.  He is a member of the Fort Wayne Medical Society, the Indiana State Medical Association and the American Medical Association.  Dr. Aust is a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists.
