Fort Wayne native, Dr. Squires graduated from South Side High School in 1971. He
completed undergraduate education in biological sciences attaining Phi Beta
Kappa at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana in 1974. Thereafter, he
attended Indiana University School of Medicine, Indianapolis, earning his
medical degree with Alpha Omega Alpha honors in 1978. He subsequently entered
pathology residency at Indiana University Medical Center and was board certified
in anatomic and clinical pathology in 1982. After completing residency training,
he joined Kokomo Pathologist Associates, Inc. in 1982 and became Laboratory
Director of St. Joseph Hospital and Health Center, Kokomo, Indiana in 1985. He
returned to Fort Wayne, joining Indiana Pathology Consultants in November 1990,
serving as the Laboratory Medical Director for Parkview Hospital-Huntington
from 1992 to August 2002, and Laboratory Medical Director for Lutheran Hospital of Indiana from January 1998 to May 2003.
Dr.
Squires’ professional emphasis has been laboratory and group practice
administration, regulatory compliance, infection control, clinical chemistry,
and general anatomic pathology, with interests in Hematopathology.
